 We have three Woodland Booklets,
The blue booklet is 23 pages of animals to color with the name of the animal and the Abenaki translation for their name at the bottom of each page. Nice, large line drawings that can be colored, and even cut out and framed! The yellow book is a 24 page book. The first 16 pages have an oval picture depicting Native American Life - cooking, gardening, canoeing, making homes, learning to shoot arrows, picking berries, and so forth. Accompanying each picture is a description of the activity. This is a nice resource for schoolwork or for a young Native AMerican child to understand his or her heritage. Then there are a few coloring pages and a few puzzle/ activity pages. The solution page is in the end. Also a great resource for teachers. (pages are easy to copy for school groups.)
The Green Booklet is a 22 page collection of Native American pictures: the people, some of the symbols such as corn, and a few animals which have great meaning to Native Americans.
The story of Indian Joe is a facinating one in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Learn about his life and why he was so important to the early settlers of this area in one of our books dedicated to him and his wife Molly. See replicas of Indian Joe and Molly in our museum!
