Notice to all of our Loyal Vendors and Interested Newcomers:

As the Pow Wow and Craft Weekends continue to grow each year, we are encouraging early registration for our vendors. They will be accepted on the basis of Years of Attendance/ and / First come- First served. Please contact us as soon as you start making your plans for next summer.

We think that you will like what we have done with the grounds.
We have contoured the area to allow all vendors a clear sight of the sacred circle, and have re-routed our traffic pattern for the ease of vendors and visitors.

Dear Vendor,                                          For a 'printable version' click here

In order to make the Craft Show and the Pow Wow of the Clan of the Hawk everything we promise our visitors, we are setting up the following guidelines for 2008. Please read these rules carefully and completely:

• We are arranging our grounds so that hopefully all vendors can be ‘in the round’ and see the circle at the same time. We are cutting the number of vendors to between 20 and 25 to do this.

• If you want to be in this select group of vendors, we will need your application early. Vendors that take both the Craft Show and the Pow Wow Show will be given first choice of space, as they will not have to move and reset their display.

• No vendor area will be larger than 20 by 20 unless special terms are arranged well in advance. All vendors are to keep their area clean and picked up at all times.

• No cars will be allowed to ‘be in motion’ from Nine in the morning until Five in the evening. The road gates will be locked! PLEASE, plan to set up, either the day before, or early in the morning. YOU MUST be off the central grounds before 9:00 am.

• We have water available on the grounds that is drinkable, and can be used for cooking, but not for hookups. Electric hook ups are available only in certain areas.

• All commercial campers on the grounds after Monday will be charged 5.00 per day (plus Electric, if hooked up to that).

• All dogs must be kept under owner’s control and away from the selling area. Many people are afraid of dogs, or bring small children who might get injured. Please, control your pet!

• PLEASE: DO NOT bring any foreign or ‘Made in China’ type items to sell at our events. We advertise Native American Hand-Made Crafts. Sure, some of the materials you use may be purchased in bulk, but the items you sell must be original, hand-crafted items of quality. If we see these “non-Native” items at your booth, you will be asked to pack them up. If you put them back on display, you will be quietly asked to pack up and leave.

• We are trying to promote a Native American event, not a flea market or Wal-Mart look alike.

• Our events have grown to be among the best in the Northeast, chosen by National Geographic and the Northeast tourism bureau to be featured in their advertisements.

• To do the best we can for our vendors and our visitors, we insist on quality.

• We do more and more advertising every year and in this way we help the honest
vendors reach more people and make more money. We are giving you a lot of advance on this.

• This year, our welcome brochure included the products featured at the events, and THE PEOPLE who made them and how to contact them, hopefully giving these vendors additional income in the coming year.

Ultimately, these rules will benefit everyone, you the vendors, the people who attend, and the Clan of the Hawk. We want you to attend our events, and be a successful vendor, so please plan to abide by these rules. We wish you well in the coming year and enclose applications for the 2008 events.

Sincerely, .
Chief Lone Cloud.
